Teacher? How does he look like? It means not person’s look but a character. In different part of our life there are different teacher role models.
In the early years of schooling, we need a person who will spend a lot of time with us and take care about us. After parents, children first learn from teachers, so teacher is like to become the second mother in elementary school.
The next stage is the middle school, where teacher’s role model is changing. In this phase of our life we need a wide mentor. Someone who will give you advice and guidance.
Finally, in the university years we need a teacher that will inspire us.

Enthusiastic. And it’s not only about motivating students for knowledge. It’s when the teacher finds way to encourage and shows enthusiasm for the material that catches a fire in us that drives us to learn more, be more, and develop better skills.
Best teachers simply enjoy the work they do. They have a passion for it, and conveying that passion to everyone, most importantly to the students.
At the same time, an ideal teacher must be equitable. This is about marks and appreciation. Authority figure shouldn’t have students that we call “teacher’s pet”.
A good teacher is looking for a student who asks questions, enthusiastic about the material and likes to share (not show off) what he has learnt. The right attitudes and being one step beyond the students, being human, respecting others, and being professional at all times are the ingredients for a good teacher.
Humor is also one of the signs of a good teacher. It’s very important because this is about not taking yourself too seriously. It’s about making jokes, mostly at your own expense. It’s to create relaxed atmosphere where teacher, same as students, share his own faults and shortcomings.
